Summers are wonderful for spending time outdoors, visiting places of interest, making bark boats and a variety of nature-based crafts, dyeing, building sand castles, enjoying water play, and walks. Children who formerly attended Hearts in Harmony enjoy returning to summer camp, and it is a great way for new children to get to know the teacher, the program and some of the other new and returning children. As during the year, nutritious snacks are provided.
A minimum of 2 weeks' enrollment is required, with a minimum of 2 days/week. The weeks need not be consecutive, however. Parents need to submit a summer application form on which they indicate the days/weeks they need. Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis. A tentative schedule will be posted for about 2 weeks in May in case last minute changes need to be made. The schedule will be finalized by the first week in June and payment will be expected at the beginning of each month.
Fees are assessed on a per diem basis as in drop-in care.
